Build A Bear, John Deere Commons, Swimming and First Ear Infection

Last weekend we took Brody and Briana to Build A Bear Workshop on Friday night.  Brody made a bear decked out in nothing else but "Cars Queen" pajamas and Briana made a brown bear with pink bows.  This is the second time we have taken Brody and he was definitely more into it this time.  His favorite part was giving the bear a bath.  On Saturday we took Brody on his first Channel Cat boat ride and went to the John Deere Commons afterward that has been recently remodeled.  The Channel Cat was an hour long ride which was a little long for a three year old but he seemed to enjoy watching everything pass by.  He LOVED going to the John Deere Commons and we will definitely be going back.  We went to lunch afterward and it was just a really nice morning all together.

The heat just will not quit here so we have been swimming a lot.  Brody continues to love the water and is sticking his face under on his own and jumping in too.  He really has no fear.  Briana loves the pool as well and is always splashing around and trying to drink the water.

It is crazy to think about but Briana's birthday is less than two weeks away!  We got some exciting news this past week as Aunt Kimberly and Papa Mike will both be coming into town for the occasion.  We have not seen Papa Mike since September and Kimberly since April so it is very exciting for us.  Brody asks everyday now if we are going to get Papa Mike from the airplane.  He is super excited too!  We leave for Florida two weeks from today and with the Bix this weekend and all the visitors coming next week these two weeks are going to fly by!  I am finishing preparations for the party and hoping everything falls into place just right with everything else going on too!

I had to take Briana to the doctor this morning to find out she has a double ear infection.  She has not slept the last two nights and last night I ended up driving around town with her at 2am because nothing was working to calm her down.  Good for us though is the fact that this is only the second time she has been sick in a year (knock on wood) so I guess we were due.  Tim is out of town so I am hoping she is feeling better over the next day or two.  She is weighing in at 19 pounds 1 ounce so still not ready to get rid of her carrier just yet!

This will most likely be the last post I get in before the birthday celebration and us leaving for Florida but stay tuned for lots of pictures when we return!!
