Happy Birthday Brody!

Happy Birthday to our wonderful son Brody! The years are flying by and you are growing into such a special young man. We are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished!  You do so well in school, are so kind and funny, and you have lots of friends.  We love you so much buddy!

We celebrated Brody's birthday by attending the St.Patrick's Day parade along with a special lunch out and dinner of his choice at Olive Garden. We also had fun playing at the trampoline park. We celebrated at Chuck E Cheese with Grandma and Ampa. Brody chose a birthday party at Jungle Bungle this year where we celebrated with all his close friends from school, along with his Grandparents and Aunts/Cousins.  He had a blast and was so excited to have an extra special birthday!  He also managed to loose his top front tooth during his birthday week that has been loose for awhile. This makes tooth #5 that he has lost!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a fun time celebrating Valentine's Day! Both of the kids had fun Valentine's Day parties at school. Here are a few pictures of the fun!

Happy Holidays!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with our families. We were definitely missing important people this year without Grandma Candy and Joe on my side of the family. We hope that they celebrated happily in heaven. We spent time visiting the cemetary over the Christmas holiday. The kids said prayers there and Briana brought a letter for Grandma Candy, that definitely pulled at my heart strings. The days are still super hard but I try to focus on all of the happy memories we are so lucky to have. The kids miss Grandma so much and talk about her on a daily basis. I will continue to honor her memory by keeping all of the special memories of her alive for the kids.

We spent Thanksgiving with my side of the family at a local hotel where we rented a banquet room. The kids were able to swim there which was a highlight for them. We celebrated at Grandma Barb's on Saturday of that weekend, It is always nice to get together and see all of the family.

We spent Christmas Eve with both sides of the family. The kids were spoiled by everyone and had a wonderful time. They are very lucky to have so many people that love them!  Christmas morning we opened presents at home, went to church and then went to lunch and a movie with my family. We went to Grandma Barb's on Christmas night.  Lots of fun packed in!  The highlight of Brody's Christmas was his new basketball hoop and the highlight of Briana's was her new dollhouse that is taller that her!

One of the highlights of this fall was meeting our new niece, Wren.  Kimberly gave birth to a precious baby girl on October 4th. Due to Grandma's passing we were able to meet her at just a few days old. Although it was a very sad time I think it brought all of us some light to get to meet baby Wren at that particular time.  We were able to see her again in December. Carter is a great helper and a wonderful big brother. We love them both so much and can't wait to see them again!

Life is busy, busy, busy and we are constantly on the go. I have been volunteering in Brody's classroom for 3 mornings a week since the beginning of the school year. On Thursday I was offered to be brought on as an employee at the school which I am super excited about!  I will continue what I have been doing, just as an official employee now.  I am currently serving on our PTA board which keeps me busy and am also on the committee for our upcoming Gala fundraiser on February 25th. I really enjoy working on the Gala and getting everything ready and organized for the big event, it is a lot of fun.

Brody continues to do awesome in school, He loves to read, read, read!  I can't keep enough books in the house! We go to the library about once a week.  Brody loves spending time with all of his friends. We had our first basketball game of the season yesterday.  He did so awesome and we are really proud of him!  It's going to be a great season!

Briana is doing awesome as well and has really hit a point where she is truly growing up before our eyes. She is no longer having a hard time with drop off at preschool which is a true blessing to me. I can't tell you how many days I felt so awful leaving her because she was so sad.  I was having a lot of worry about how things would go for next year.  But she is doing so much better now. She will be attending Kindergarten Round Up on the 31st of this month. It's so hard to believe she is going to be heading off to Kindergarten in the fall!  I have so much confidence in her that she is ready and she will do great!  Come fall it will be an adventure for all of us as Briana heads to Kindergarten, Brody heads to 2nd grade and I head back to work full time after being home all these years.

We celebarted New Year's Eve with an nice dinner out as a family and a count down to the New Year at home (at 9pm :).  Although the end of 2016 was very hard for our family, we are looking forward to a brighter 2017. We wish everyone a very Happy New Year!
