Happy Birthday Daddy and Grandma Debbie!

We would like to wish Grandma Debbie a very Happy Birthday!! She celebrated her birthday last week. We are wishing her a wonderful year to come!!

We decided to decorate our front bushes for Easter this year and had lots of help from our little helper. Brody tried to hang the eggs on the bushes but when he couldn't figure out how to get them just right he thought he would just set them on the bush instead. He was very eager to help and enjoyed this project very much!

Brody is definitely in a helping phase right now and literally wants to help us with everything. Over the weekend Daddy was out working in the garage and I took Brody out there so he could see what Daddy was doing. He threw a fit when it was time to come inside and wanted to stay out there and help! He kept running back to the door and trying to open it himself. Brody has also been helping Mommy with the clean laundry. This has to be one of his favorite jobs! Yesterday he was helping me take all of the clean clothes out of the basket and was helping to fold them. He smelled each piece as he took it out as if to make sure I got them clean enough. They really do the funniest things!

Along with his book reading, Brody is very into puzzles these days. I have gotten him several of the Melissa and Doug sound puzzles and he will sit with me and as I hand him a piece he will put them where they go. He loves the sounds they make and laughs every time he hears the monkey sound. He is very curious about everything around him and we know when he takes our finger and makes us point at something that he wants to know what that is called.

We had very nice temperatures on Sunday even though it was very cloudy. We took Brody to the park and let him have his first real experience on the playground. Last year we took him at least once if not twice a week to the park but he was just too little and not quite steady enough on his feet to go on the equipment. He had so much fun and loved climbing up the steps and going across the bridge with Daddy. He also loved the swings. But in true little boy fashion his favorite thing was picking up sticks and finding what he could bang with them. We let him run in the open field and stayed back a few feet to just let him explore and he would stop every few feet and turn around to check and see if we were still following him.

Today is Daddy's birthday!! Happy Birthday Daddy! On Sunday night we went to Grandma Candy's for dinner to celebrate and today Brody, Jackson and I surprised Daddy by coming to his work so we could go to lunch. Tonight we will have dinner to celebrate, just not sure where yet. We are looking forward to a very exciting year as our family will be opening a new chapter in just a few short months!
