Spring has Sprung!

Spring seems to have officially arrived for us and even though we expect colder temperatures and rain over the next few days anything is better than snow! We were able to get out and enjoy the nice temperatures this weekend and Brody was even able to wear shorts on Sunday as it was right around 80 degrees. We have been planning our first trip to the zoo this year for the past few weeks and even though the weather forecast has said it was going to be nice, they have been wrong every time. This weekend is suppose to be cold and rainy and with next weekend being Easter I think we are going to have to wait until May. We have started to bring some of Brody's yard toys out and he had a lot of fun playing with them on Sunday. We are noticing more and more that he really is becoming such a little boy as we watch him play and explore. Last year we had to help him do a lot of things and now we are seeing him become more and more independent. Brody and Mommy have been taking daily walks and this year he is able to take me on a walk as opposed to using the stroller.

Brody got his first golf set this weekend from his Aunt Melissa, Uncle Brett, Julia and Maggie and he has literally not put it down since he opened it. Mommy and Daddy will stand behind him to help him work on his swing and he finda this very funny! He is carrying his clubs around everywhere and hitting balls all over the house. I have had a couple people tell me I am crazy to let a barely 2 year old carry t-ball bats and golf clubs around the house but so far he has a pretty accurate swing and most importantly he enjoys it so I am going to let him do it! We have a definite athlete on our hands, and a good one at that! You can mark my words a few years down the road when he really starts showing his stuff on the soccer field, baseball diamond, football field or golf course! :)

Brody and his cousin Jackson are becoming quite the little pair when it comes to finding things they can get into together. They love to hide in the closet and since we have the closet doors that are on a track it is not hard for them to get in there! The play room closet only has craft and teaching supplies in it and they really don't pay much attention to that stuff, they are more into the hiding part. They wait for me to pretend like I can't find them and when I knock on the door of the closet you can hear their little laughs coming from inside. They also like to tip over the play kitchen and climb on the back of it. Brody thinks this is absolutely hilarious! Mostly because he knows he is not suppose to do it I'm sure! Boys will be boys!

Things are going to be busy here of the next few months as we start to get our house ready for baby #2. We will be painting almost every room in the house, starting with the basement. The basement will be become our new play room and Brody will move into a big boy room upstairs. Plus we have tons of weddings, showers, graduations, etc over the next couple of months. May and June are going to be super busy for all of us. Maybe that will help the time (and warm weather) move faster until baby girl Wren makes her arrival. For now we are just taking one thing at a time and even though it seems like a lot right now we know it will all come together.

Here are some new pictures of the cutest boy in the world, playing outside, playing golf, helping with laundry and just being cute! Hope everyone is doing well!
