Happy Halloween!!

We hope that everyone had a very happy and safe Halloween! Ours was great! We started out on Thursday night with Trick or Treating at our local Hy-Vee grocery store. We thought this would be good practice to see how Brody would do. We went around to eat of the departments to collect candy. Brody did really well, he even held out his pumpkin bucket at a few of the stations. We got tons of compliments on his costume. On Friday we carved our pumpkins at home. Brody stuck his hand right in there and even though he made a disgusted face he seemed to enjoy it. Daddy carved one pumpkin and Mommy carved the other while Brody watched from his high chair. On Saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo at Niabi. The weather was great and we had a great time! We went right when the opened so it wasn't too crowded. Two funny/cute things happened while we were there. They have tons of stations set up for the kids to Trick or Treat and play games at. At one particular station, they had a small baby pool filled with ducks that the children could pick out to win a prize. After Brody picked out his duck he tried to climb in the pool, costume and all! Luckily Mommy was right there to get him before he got all wet. Another station was handing out small American flags and Brody got one and walked the remainder of the zoo with it held proudly in the air. Can you say adorable?? Again we got many compliments on the costume. One older woman told Mommy she thought she was carrying a stuffed animal and then realized it was a real boy! On Saturday night we went Trick or Treating in Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood with Jackson, Tatum and baby Carvel. Brody went up to the houses and collected his candy. After that we went to see Grandma Candy and Grandma Barb. Everyone loved seeing Brody dressed up as a lion. On Sunday we went to Natalie and Bryan's to visit and let Brody and Brayden play. They loved playing in the dog cage together. We met Aunt Melissa, Uncle Brett, Julia and Maggie for lunch later on. Busy, busy weekend but tons of fun!

Daddy is traveling for a few days this week and then we head to Des Moines this weekend for our Godson's baptism. We are very excited to be a part of this special day!

Here are some pictures of our "mane" man enjoying his second Halloween!
