Saying that our life is a little busy right now would be an understatement. We are busy, busy, busy! And it seems like this will continue through the holidays. Just as it looks like our calendar is opening up, it starts filling up again! I am sure many of you can relate to this. It just goes hand in hand with this time of year.
Over the past week, we celebrated Jackson's birthday with dinner and presents. Brody picked out two special balloons to give Jackson on his birthday, which Brody enjoyed more than the birthday boy. On Saturday, Mommy spent the day in Chicago helping Aunt Kimberly look for wedding dresses. She tried on many beautiful ones and Mommy is pretty sure she knows which one will be the final pick. Grandma Barb, Aunt Melissa, Julia, Maggie, Paula and Katie were also in Chicago. It was a fun girls trip for us. Mommy debated for a long time about taking Brody but decided in the end to let him have a fun day with Daddy and after seeing those shops she knew she made the right choice. The rest of the girls stayed over night but Mommy drove back Saturday night because she is not quite ready for an overnight trip away from her little man. Luckily she made it home in enough time to snuggle with him before bed. Brody had a great day with Daddy and even though it was tough to leave him and the longest we have been apart, Mommy had a great day too.
Daddy is getting ready to travel quite a bit this month and Mommy has been picking up a few night shifts over the past few weeks at her part time job so things have been pretty busy around our house. Daddy is getting ready to travel to Chicago for a few days next week and then the third week of November he will be in Memphis, Tennesee.
Not much is new with Brody other than we are excited for Halloween this weekend and all of the fun things we have planned. Should be a great time! Look for our next post next week with all the details. Have a safe and Happy Halloween everyone!!
