Summer Fun!

Over the weekend we decided to take Brody to a carnival at the Fairgrounds near our house. We walked up there on Friday night just to see what types of rides and games they had and if there was anything that Brody would enjoy. The only ride that he could go on with a parent with him was the Merry Go Round. Let's just say I don't think he was quite ready for that and neither were we! The horses go up and down but we didn't realize how high they went until it started moving and Brody was up to the height of Mommy's head! He did not cry, just acted very afraid! Mommy freaked out a little too but we made it safe through the ride. We guess he is just not quite ready for moving rides yet. The fair will be in town in two months at the beginning of August so we will try again then!

On Sunday we got out Brody's baby pool and water table. He had so much fun playing in them and was NOT happy when it was time to get out! We are very excited that summer is here because Brody really loves playing in the water and being outside this year!

The remodeling of our tub and shower has started this week (or should I say demolishing it?) Yesterday was the first day that Bob came to work on it and the walls are completely gone and the plumbing is fixed. We should have a new bathtub/shower by the end of the week or early next week! This is something that we have wanted for a long time and are so excited that it will finally be done!

This weekend we will be celebrating Aunt Kari's birthday, which is Monday. We want to wish her a very Happy Birthday and great year to come!
