Happy Memorial Day! (14 1/2 Months Old)

Happy Memorial Day Everyone! We hope that everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend! Daddy made it home safe and sound late Thursday night and even though Brody and Mommy had a great week together it is great to have him home! It was funny because the weather in California (where Daddy was traveling to for work) was in the 60's while we were having 90 plus temperatures here. We spent much of the weekend outside, even though it was HOT!!!

Aunt Kimberly made a quick visit last week on her way to a wedding that she was in over the weekend in Dubuque. Brody and Mommy were able to see her on Wednesday night while Daddy was out of town. She had planned on staying Sunday night but was not able to get a flight out for Monday so Daddy was only able to see her for a few minutes. She will be back at the end of the month and we look forward to spending more time together then!

This weekend we hung up Brody's swing in the tree in front of our house. This was a gift from cousins Julia and Maggie and Brody absolutely LOVES it! We are hoping to get a lot of use out of it over the next two months before the apples come in on our tree. Brody also went swimming for the first time this year and loved it even more than last year! This year he can kick his legs to help him move in his floaty and he really likes splashing in the water. He would have stayed in there all day if we would have let him! Brody was a lucky boy again this weekend and got to enjoy some ice cream. Once summer is over we don't know what he will do without his ice cream cones!

Brody continues to walk more and more everyday. Daddy could not believe how much stronger he became with walking in just one week of being away! He will just take off across the room at any given moment. He is not so sure about walking in the grass and really doesn't like the feel of grass on his feet. He is now able to chase after a ball and throw it back to the person that threw it. He will also roll the ball back and forth. He can hold two balls in the palms of his hands for several seconds (one in each hand) which has Daddy thinking we may have a future basketball player on our hands!

Here are a few new pictures of our beautiful baby boy!
