We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We celebrated with egg hunts, egg decorating and a visit to the Easter Bunny! We spent time at Grandma Candy's and Grandma and Grandpa's on Easter and the night before Easter. The kids were also invited to an awesome egg hunt at the farm of one of Brody's classmates. It was by far the best Easter egg hunt we have ever been to! Both kids came home with two bags full of eggs. So fun and so nice of the family to put it on and invite siblings! We attended our annual egg hunt at the Zoo and got to check out some new animals and new exhibits. I also took the kids to an Easter event at Chick fil A put on by our areas "Mom's Blog". This was a lot of fun!
We attended an event put on by PBS a few weeks ago where the kids were able to participate in crafts, various activities, games and were able to meet some of their favorite characters from some PBS books/shows. Brody was very excited to meet Arthur, one of his favorites, and also a favorite of mine through the years! Briana loved seeing all the characters and getting her picture taken with them. Very fun!
Brody started soccer a few weeks ago. This is his first time playing and he is enjoying it very much. We are very proud of him and how well he has done with sports these past few months. He will be starting baseball in a few weeks. Tim is going to be coaching that and we are looking forward to a fun season. We are letting Brody try all of the sports that interest him this year so he can get a feel for which ones he likes. So far I think basketball is his favorite.
Briana and I were able to attend Mother/Daughter date night a few weeks ago at Chick fil A. This was such a neat event! They had massages, nail stations and hair stations for the girls. Briana really loved getting "done up all pretty" as she called it. We enjoyed a fun night just the two of us!
The school year is coming to a close for both kids. Brody has two and a half weeks left and Briana has a week and a half. We are very, very proud of both of them and how far they have both come this year. It is amazing to watch the every day growth in both of them. We have gotten tons of compliments from both schools on how well behaved and kind they both are which is great for us to hear as parents!
