So hard to believe but our baby girl is now a 2 year old!! Time flies and it is amazing how quickly these past two years have flown by! We celebrated Briana's birthday a week early with a party at Scott County Park. We had unseasonably cool temperatures in the low 70's for the week leading up to the party so even though we had planned a super fun swimming party at the swimming pool there mother nature had other plans. I didn't want all the kids to get sick from the freezing water so I was able to find a bounce house last minute and the kids still had a great time! It was a super windy day so the decorations did not want to stay put but the kids were happy and everyone seemed to have a good time which is all that matters! Who would have thought an end of July birthday party would be so cold?? It is funny because last year it was only 78 degrees for her party. It was still warm enough for everyone to swim then because it had been warm for a few weeks prior. All in all it was a great day and Briana was so happy to have her Minnie party! Most of the kids spent the entire time in the bounce house so it was definitely worth getting! Brody stayed in it long after everyone had left until the man came to pick it up. :)
Briana had a great party and received many nice gifts. We are so thankful to all that came and helped us celebrate. We had everything Minnie from cake to cookies to Minnie and Mickey ears. She loved all the Minnie stuff!
On Briana's real birthday, last Saturday, we took our first ever family trip to Adventureland. The kids loved it and we had a blast! They have a waterpark attached to it now so we spent over 7 hours there between the waterpark and the amusement park
and had so much fun! We stayed the night in Des Moines and headed home on Sunday. We had our immediate families over Sunday night for a family celebration of Briana's birthday.
Briana's big gift from us was the "Rella Bike" she had asked for which is a Disney Princess mini 4 wheeler. She was so excited to open it! She got lots of Minnie and Disney princess gifts and also many new clothes for the fall that we can definitely use!
Happy Birthday to my sweet baby girl, I love you so much! You are my little princess and you complete our family! I love you more than you will ever know!
