Pumpkin Fun and Happy Halloween!

We had a very fun Halloween this year!  Lots of fun activities and lots of yummy candy!  I can't believe how much candy these two got and we didn't even go that many places!  We started out the weekend with Boo at the Zoo.  Brody loves the zoo and we go all the time but this was different because there were tons of activities and stations set up.  He had fun playing games and riding the train.  We also made a trip to the Pumpkin patch and carved our pumpkins.  We did a few pumpkin patch trips this year so we ended up with several pumpkins.  We only carved 3 of them though, and I let Brody decorate the others with silly face pieces and stickers.  Our three carved ones were two Iowa Hawkeye ones and a Jake and the Neverland pirates one to match Brody's costume (I found the template online).  We celebrated Trick or Treat with going on a Halloween walk at Hy-Vee, then onto Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood, Grandma Candy's and Grandma Barb's.  Briana rode in the stroller this year as she is not too strong on her feet yet but next year she will be ready to go.  At only 14 months old she figured out how to open candy with her mouth and eat it.  Brody was great with saying "Trick or Treat" at each house this year and saying "Thank you".  He had so much fun this year as so did we!

We celebrated cousin Jackson's 4th birthday on the 21st with a party at Jungle Bungle.  Brody loved playing with all the kids and has recently discovered "games" so he loved playing and winning tickets.  He found a basketball game that he really liked there.

Things continue to be busy around here.  We started our new session of art class on Friday and our new session of music will begin tomorrow.  These classes go until mid December and then there is a month break for the hoilday's.  We will have to see how the weather is this winter as we plan what we are going to do during the cold months.  It is hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner.  I really can't wait for Christmas as Brody is starting to understand it this year and Briana will be fun with opening gifts.  Definitely my favorite time of year!!
