Happy Mother's Day to all our favoite Mom's out there!

We would like to wish all of our family and friends who are Mom's a very Happy Mother's Day this past Sunday! We hope you were able to enjoy the day. We had a great weekend celebrating. Our weather has been great for the past week so we spent a lot of time outside. Daddy put Brody's bike together (his big birthday gift) and he was able to ride it the first time this weekend. A little bit of an emotional time for both of us as our little baby boy really is growing up! On Sunday we made our first official trip to the zoo for the year as we had a beautiful day of 75 degrees and sunny. We enjoyed getting to see the new interactive project Daddy has been working on there in the Rainforest exhibit and Brody also got to ride the train for the very first time. That was his favorite part of going to the zoo for sure. There were a lot of baby animals this time which was really neat to see. We enjoyed a nice lunch at Lundardis and had dinner at Grandma Diane and Grandpa Mel's. I had a great day and am so lucky to have my two guys in my life that always make me feel so special. Yesterday we had a record breaking temperature of 92 degrees and it was HOT! We went out and got Brody a wadding pool (as he is too big for his baby pool this year) and got it out last night (didn't think we would be using it at the beginning of May!). He had a blast playing in there! We have already decided that we will be spending a lot of time in the pool this summer!

Brody continues to grow and change all the time. He is saying "baby" a lot and is very interested in his books about babies and books about becoming a big brother. He is still very into golf and baseball and it will be nice for him to play these sports outside this summer. He has quite the little arm. He is doing more and more things on his own and becoming more and more independent. He is saying more and more words each day and is pointing at anything he doesn't recognize so we will tell him what that is. Very, very curious. He has been going for walks and playing at the park and he is definitely proving that he wants to spend as much time as he can outside. We, as always, are enjoying every moment and are so thankful for this sweet little boy that amazes us everyday!
