Happy Birthday to our sweet baby boy! We had such a fun weekend celebrating and Brody is definitely spoiled by all those who love him! On Friday, Brody's official birthday, Daddy took the day off work and we spent a great day together as a family. Daddy got Brody "munchkin" donuts from Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. We did Brody's two year pictures in the morning and yes it was a challenge but we got some good ones out of it. He is just so curious about everything around him so he doesn't want to sit still. His Papa Mike and Grandma Debbie call him "the boy with a million faces" and he sure showed those off in these pictures! After pictures we went out to lunch and after nap Brody opened his presents from us. Our big gift to him this year was a bike and a talking charcoal grill. The bike will grow with him over the next few years and we can't wait for nice weather so we can start using it. For dinner we had his favorite meal, spaghetti. On Saturday we did final preparations for his party and had the family over for dinner. Aunt Kimberly made a special trip into town to help celebrate. On Sunday we had Brody's birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa's restaurant in Port Byron. We had a great turn out and Brody got so many nice gifts. He is such a very lucky little boy to have such great people in his life! The weather was rainy in the morning but turned out really nice in the afternoon so we took Brody for his first trip to the park so far this year. We had dinner at Grandma Candy's and now we have spent the past two days trying to get our house back in order and playing with all the new toys! Brody got a gift card to Toys R Us so we went there yesterday and he also had a gift card to Barnes and Noble so we went there last night. He got to pick out books at the book store and of course he picked Elmo. He took a large book off the shelf and sat down to "read" it aloud to himself. He really is at such a fun age. He was definitely interested in opening his gifts this year and sat on Mommy's lap the whole time. Thank you so much to everyone that helped to make our little man's big day extra special! We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family!
