Can't believe it's February already......

We decided to break this weeks post into two because of the big storm we had over the past few days. So below you will find a post all about the snow!

Our exciting news of the weekend if that our parent's restaurant is open!! They did a soft opening this past weekend on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night and had a great turnout for not advertising and just using word of mouth that it was open. We went out there on Thursday night and not just saying this because of who owns it but the food was great!! Daddy wanted to go back again on Saturday night but we decided we would wait and go again this weekend. This weekend will be another soft opening and then next weekend will be the Grand Opening just before Valentine's Day. There will be an ad in the Quad City Times next week and also something in the Go Section. More information to follow....

It's hard to believe that we are already in the month of February! This past month just flew by! Brody's birthday is just right around the corner! We decided to get out and enjoy the snow last weekend before we got slammed with the storm that was on it's way. Brody had a blast playing in the snow and riding in his sled. We had a pretty laid back weekend. Brody has a definite new obsession with "Elmo" and says and looks for Elmo all the time. Mommy bought him an Elmo balloon on Sunday and he is still carrying it around today. He really enjoys coloring and can stay engaged with coloring a sheet of paper for around 20 minutes at a time. He continues to be a dancing machine and loves all types of music. Once he hears music going he is dancing to the beat! His favorite book right now is "All the Ways I love you" and Mommy has read it about 15 times today already. He is into everything as all (almost) 2 year olds are and has now found a way to get into the closet in his toy room. Luckily it only has craft and school supplies in it and we are always in there with him. He is very curious and will do all that it takes to figure out how something works or how to get into something. Mommy pretty much had the whole house baby proofed before he was born so that helps! A new thing Brody loves to do is run around naked. Grandma Diane will attest that this is a trait that he inherited from his mother (did I just admit that!?!) He thinks it is hilarious and will run away from us as fast as he can. It is definitely harder for us to change him these days, he wants nothing to do with staying still. And brushing his teeth has become a serious challenge. It has always been hard but he absolutely hates it! They still get brushed twice a day but it is a serious battle! Here are some new pictures of the B man. The sleeping picture is how he passed out in his crib on the day of the snowstorm during nap time, too funny!
