Almost 22 months old!

Tomorrow Brody will hit the 22 month mark, and that will put him at just two months away from celebrating his big 2nd birthday!! We have noticed that even though time continues to fly, the 2nd year has definitely slowed down a little compared to the 1st. That probably has a lot to do with all the big changes that occur in the first year. Brody continues to change all the time but more in his personality, speech and ways of doing things. He has started to use the wonderful word "no" more often, but interestingly he is not saying it to us in a defiant way. We think he just likes the way that it sounds and he mostly only says it to his cousin Jackson or when he is talking to himself. He he started to sing quite regularly and there were a few days last week where he woke Mommy up by singing from his crib in the morning (adorable!). Brody is developing a wide variety of new dance moves. He loves to dance! He will spin in circles and clap his hands to the music and has even developed a little of what Mommy and Daddy call "break dancing" where he spins around on the floor. We laugh every time he does this which makes him do it more and more. He is starting to really enjoy coloring and has also began to point to letters on his alphabet chart as we talk about them (it's not the correct letter but it is a step in the right direction :) Things aren't too busy around our house right now which is nice because our weather has not been the best lately. We got a few inches of snow last week and are currently getting up to 5 inches mixed with rain, sleet and ice. Mommy will be making rice krispie treats with the boys today and watching the storm from the inside. Hopefully the rain will let up so we can play in all this new snow but looks like it may stick around until tonight. Here are some new pictures of our favorite little guy!
