Mother's Day, First Steps and Teething like Crazy!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! We hope that all of you mother's out there had a wonderful day on Sunday. We decided to have a relaxing Sunday and really didn't do a whole lot which is nice for us since that doesn't happen very often. Daddy and Brody made Mommy's day very special.

Well, we officially have a walker on our hands!!! Brody took his first steps last Wednesday and has been taking some on his own every day since. He will take anywhere from two to eight steps before he falls down. His steps started out very wobbly but are getting stronger by the day. He does best when we put him in a standing position and have him walk toward one of us. He loves doing it because he really enjoys all the praise he is getting. Before we know it he will take off and we will be chasing him all over (as if we aren't already with how fast he crawls.)

Brody is also teething like crazy! Over the past few weeks we have been wondering if new teeth were coming in because he has been waking up in the night which is not like him. He is currently getting two of his 1 year molars (one on the top and one on the bottom) of the left side of his mouth and also another tooth on the bottom left, next to the two he already has in the middle. He hasn't been drooling more that normal but this is around the time when teething really takes off so we are sure the new teeth will keep coming!

Brody also has a new word that he loves to say, Addie! He calls her "Adda" or "Ad". Mommy will say "Where's Addie?" and Brody will find her and say Ad or Adda, too cute!

We would like to wish Uncle Brett a Happy Birthday tomorrow and Aunt Kimberly a Happy Birthday on Saturday! We hope that they both have a wonderful year ahead.
