Happy Birthday Grandma! (13 months old!)

We would like to start out by wishing Grandma Diane a very Happy Birthday! We celebrated yesterday with a nice dinner from Red Lobster at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We are hoping that Grandma has a wonderful year to come!

Brody is officially 13 months old as of yesterday. This past week we have had a wide range of beautiful weather and we got out to enjoy it to it's fullest! For most of the week we had temperatures in the 80's, but they tapered off into the high 60's for the weekend. Mommy, Brody and Jackson took a few trips to the park this week to walk around and to feed the ducks. We got out and did something outside everyday. Mommy and Daddy got Brody a Cozy Coupe Car for his birthday and up to this point we have only been driving it around inside the house but we took it outside a few times this week. Brody knows just what to do, he uses the steering wheel correctly and can honk the horn. Grandma Diane got us a wagon and we also used that for the first time outside this weekend as well. Brody is loving all the new views from his wagon. Brody is standing on his own a lot more now and for longer periods of time each day. He is also trying to stand up from a sitting position without the help of pulling up on anything. He is trying to reach for things above his head and is able to get to the top shelf of his toy organizer now. He is definitely getting frustrated when he can't so something on his own or when we don't allow him to do something he wants to and he lets us know it! We can them "mini fits" and he will get red in the face, put his arms up and almost growl in frustration. It only lasts a few seconds and is hard for us not to laugh when he does it! He will also kick his feet when we pick him up and move him from somewhere he shouldn't be. He is definitely learning how to express himself! Brody continues to be eating very well and is trying new things all the time. His favorite so far seems to be spaghetti, which we make for him about once a week. He has been doing well with cut up chicken and turkey, and still really enjoys his fruits and vegetables. He cleans his plate almost every time he eats. He brings so much joy to our lives each and every day!
