This weekend we took Brody to get his first official pair of "big boy shoes" since we know walking is just around the corner. We had him measured and the man told us he was just over a size 3 so we decided to get a size 4 because we know how fast their little feet grow! Brody's new shoes are white and blue Nike's with velcro. He has had a view pairs of shoes since he was born but these are his first official walking shoes. Brody continues to pull up on everything in site (including our pant legs when we are standing up) and is cruising a little more along things but is still pretty cautious. We have been brushing Brody's teeth with a finger toothbrush for a few weeks now and he loves it! It must feel really good to him on those teething gums. Prior to the finger toothbrush Mommy was cleaning Brody's teeth and gums with a warm washcloth each day. We have been cleaning his gums that way since birth. We are pretty sure his next teeth will be towards the back of his mouth because he is chewing on his fingers and sticking them as far back in his mouth as he can. We have started to call Brody our little "Beaver" because now that he has 6 teeth he loves to chew on the railings of his crib. Mommy has tried several things to discourage this but Brody has a mind if his own. We have secured some baby blankets over the railings and hopefully this will discourage this habit. We will be doing some touch up work to his crib once he is out of this stage! On Sunday Brody went to his first Super Bowl party at Grandma Barb's. Brody played with his toys and as always was cooed over by the ladies. It is funny because we have barely taken him anywhere this winter but we took him out a little this weekend and at two different stores we were stopped by older women who said they just wanted to look at him and how cute he was. One older lady asked if she could touch him and he grabbed her finger and then she said "She wanted to keep him and had to have him." It was pretty funny. We have a feeling that we may have a real heart breaker on our hands. We are looking forward to Valentine's Day this weekend and being able to spoil our "Little Lovebug" to the fullest. Hope everyone is doing well!
