It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year (9 months old)

Brody turned 9 months old on Friday and I know we always say this but the time has gone by so quickly! We had a pretty busy weekend this past weekend. Brody was still pulling a little on his left ear on Friday so Mommy and Daddy took him back to the doctor just to double check that the ear infection was gone. Luckily it was but Brody was beginning to show signs of a cold which has turned into his first real cold (he had a very minor cold at 3 months old but nothing like this). There is not much you can do when they are this young so we are just toughing it out. We celebrated Christmas this weekend with our best friends. On Friday night we went to Natalie, Bryan and Brayden's house. Brody loves playing with his big buddy Brayden and loves all of Brayden's "big boy" toys (especially the ones he can put in his mouth). On Saturday we went to Carvell, Tiffany and Tatum's house. Brody also loves playing with his "girlfriend" Tatum, he loves to watch her run around and play. Next year Carvell and Tiffany will have a new addition to their family, we can't wait and couldn't be happier for them! Brody received several nice gifts and we are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends in our life!! On Sunday we made our annual trip to Cedar Rapids to celebrate Christmas with the Seng side of the family. For the past 4 years in a row we have either hit bad weather on the way there or have just had a bad storm and this year was no different. Thankfully on the way home it had cleared up. Mommy's Grandma Seng turned 91 this summer and always loves seeing her Great Grandbabies. It is always nice to get all of the family together. As for the rest of this week, we prepare for our busiest time of the year. We have many family gatherings between our two families. Aunt Kimberly will be in town also for Christmas for the first time since she moved to Arizona so we are looking forward to that. Brody continues to grow and change everyday. Last night he attempted to pull himself up for the first time, he was able to make it onto his knees! We are so excited to celebrate our son's first Christmas, we can't wait! Merry Christmas to everyone and save travels!!
