We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday! We know we sure did! This year was so much fun as Brody was interested in everything we did which was great! On Friday we colored Easter eggs and decorated them on Saturday morning. Brody really wanted to tip over all of the color cups (typical boy) so we decided that this year Mommy would color them and Brody would decorate them. I found an Elmo decorating kit (since that is Brody's favorite character right now) at Toys R Us. It came with stickers and little egg holders. Brody loves stickers and really enjoyed decorating his eggs. They turned out very cute! On Saturday Mommy had a bridal shower to go to so Brody got to spend some time with Daddy and then we went to Grandma Candy's to celebrate Easter. Brody got a very nice Easter bag full of goodies from Grandma Barb. Baby girl Wren also got a little something too. We did an Easter egg hunt outside and Brody LOVED it!! He did so good, he got 16 eggs on his own! Last year he was a new walker at this time (as Easter was a few weeks earlier) so we mostly set him down near the eggs and helped him pick them up. It is so much fun to watch him get so excited. His very sweet cousin Julia came over and dropped a few of her eggs in his bag too so I think he had right around 20 eggs. He likes the ones the best with the money inside because he could shake them and they made noise. We woke up Easter morning and Brody was very spoiled by the Easter Bunny this year. With it being his last Easter as an only child, I think the Easter Bunny wanted to make it an extra special one for him. The Easter Bunny left some eggs for Brody to find too, but he was mostly interested in his new toys! He got some new outdoor toys for summer and a Tonka Talking Truck. Also a few outfits for summer. On Sunday we went to church. Mass was over an hour and a half and for that length of time with being a two year old Brody did pretty well. After mass we went to breakfast and when we got home Daddy painted the basement. When Brody woke up from his afternoon nap Mommy took him to the park to feed the ducks while Daddy finished painting. We went to Grandma and Grandpas Seng's for dinner and had an Easter egg hunt there as well. Again Brody did great. Grandma and Grandpa also got Brody a big bag full of goodies. Baby girl Wren got her first Cubs outfit that she will be able to wear this summer after she is born. Brody had a lot of fun taking out all the water bottles and cans and handing them to Grandpa one at a time to set on the table. As you can see by the picture he had quite the collection. Brody also loved playing the piano with his cousin Jackson, those two can be so funny and really get each other going! Very fun weekend and we are so lucky to have such great family to spend it with. Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend! Here are a couple pictures of Mommy at 25 weeks pregnant, just a few days shy of 6 1/2 months along!
