We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! We hope that you had a very happy holiday and were able to spend it with your loved ones. We had a fantastic Christmas! Brody is beyond spoiled and is a very lucky little boy! We started out our holiday travel by going to Cedar Rapids on the 20th to celebrate Christmas with the Seng side of the family. This was somewhat difficult as it is our first Christmas without Grandma. We went through some of Grandma's belongings while we were there and Mommy was able to keep a few things to help remember her by. Brody had a blast playing with his cousin Brady who is 3 years older than him. Mommy and Daddy had to laugh because Brady has SO MUCH energy and that is what we have to look forward to as our son gets older. We spent the afternoon and early evening of Christmas Eve at Grandma Candy's. Brody did show some interest in opening gifts this year, but he will only do so many before he moves on to something else. He loved looking at Grandma Barb's copy of The Night Before Christmas (which happened to be a board book, very nice for little hands) and playing with the boxes and tissue paper. Someone had brought gifts over in a cardboard box and he even liked climbing in there! Later in the evening we went over to Grandma Diane and Grandpa Mel's. Brody had a great time playing with cousin Jackson. Let's just say our son is beyond spoiled by his grandparents, cousins, Aunts and Uncles, Great Uncle and Great Grandma. What a lucky little boy and we are thankful for all that everyone does for him and for us!

On Christmas Day we woke up and Santa had came! In true little boy fashion Brody was up by 6:45am, even though he did not go to bed until 10:30 the night before! Brody opened his stocking first which had some of his favorite snacks in it so once he found the snacks he had not much interest in anything else. Santa brought Brody many things, but his big gift was a tool bench! He has been playing with this a lot and is hammering away on anything and everything. He loves everything that he got and we have seen him equally play with all his new toys. He is enjoying a variety of new things to play with and is learning how all these new toys work. For lunch on Christmas Day we went to Mommy's Aunt and Uncle's house and then stopped by Grandma Candy's for a little bit in the afternoon. With nothing to do on Christmas night we decided to take down Christmas decorations and put all of Brody's new toys together.

On Sunday we went to Rookies for pizza to celebrate Julia's 7th birthday. It was nice to get everyone together to celebrate. Even Grandma Candy made it out! After the party Brody came home and took a very long (and much needed) nap. All the excitement of the past few days really wore him out! Now we are gradually getting back to our normal routine and getting our house back in order. It was very nice to have Daddy on vacation last week for a few days. He will be off Friday this week and then back to traveling out of town next week.

Here are some pictures of our little man on his 2nd Christmas! Enjoy!
