Brody's Party

We have decided to post two different posts this time around, one for Brody's official birthday and one for his birthday party. Below you will find his official birthday post. Today we celebrated Brody's first birthday with a party at Wise Guy's Pizza here in Davenport. We were surrounded by many good friends and family. Brody enjoyed his first taste of cheese pizza. He is doing really well with trying new foods. Brody received many nice gifts and we are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. We are truly thankful for all that everyone around us has done for our little boy and for helping to make this day special. The party was right around Brody's nap time and with him being off his typical schedule already for the last few days he did not last long with opening presents so Mommy had to finish opening them for him. Brody dug right into his cake and seemed to enjoy it a little more this second time around (he also really liked the ice cream). Unfortunately we were not able to put him right into the bathtub afterward like we did at home so we cleaned him up the best we could and gave him a bath as soon as we got home. Brody took at two hour nap late in the day today and is already in bed so I think that proves how tired he has been! We want to thank everyone for coming today, thank all of you who traveled far to be here with us, thank everyone for all the nice gifts and thank everyone for being such an important part of our lives.
