Almost a 1 year old!!

In just two short days Brody will officially be a 1 year old! It is crazy to think that last year on this date we were admitted to the hospital and were in labor, it just took Brody two days to make his grand entrance into the world. He then as well as now has a mind of his own. :) I think we speak on behalf of all first time parents when we say this first year has been the most amazing year in both of our lives. Watching our son do all of his "firsts" for the first time have not only been amazing but exciting as well. Brody has completely changed our outlook on life and has made things so much better in terms of spending everyday with him and learning with him as he grows. It is funny to think that you can love something so small so much!!

This weekend we ordered the final things we need for Brody's party and put some finishing touches on the details. We will be having both of our immediate families over for dinner on Thursday night to celebrate Brody's big day. This will be a busy week for us as not only is it Brody's birthday but we have several guests coming in town to help us celebrate. We are so greatful to all our friends and family from near and far that will be here to celebrate this milestone with us!

Mommy and Brody took their first official walk outside since last fall yesterday afternoon. As Spring is rapidly approaching we are having a week with temperatures in the 50's. They are forecasting temperatures in the mid 60's and sunny on Brody's birthday, what a great way to celebrate this special day! It is funny to not have Brody facing us in the stroller as he used to last year in his carrier but we can tell he really enjoys the "new" views were he can see everything as we walk. We took Brody out to dinner with us last night and ordered his first official meal off of the kids menu. We ordered him Macaroni and Cheese and this was the first time he tried it. Of course he loved it and this particular restaurant made it from scratch so that was even better!

As we close this chapter in our lives and begin the next one we are truly so thankful to have been blessed with such a beautiful and healthy baby boy! We can't wait to see what the future holds for our little man, the absolute love of our lives!!
