Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! We have both decided that we don't quite know how this new year can top our last. 2009 proved to be the most amazing year in both of our lives: the birth of our first child and 9 wonderful months of enjoying all of the "firsts" that new parenthood brings. We are excited to see what 2010 will bring for our family. Since our last post quite a few things have happened. Brody is now sporting 6 teeth! His two bottom ones have been there for a few months as we have posted earlier. Brody's two top teeth came in right before Christmas and his two eye teeth (on each side of the two top) have come in over the past week. It makes for a very cute little smile! Brody has also started to pull himself up over the past week. At first he was just able to make it to his knees but now he is able to pull up into a standing position. We are quickly learning that once babies are mobile, they get into EVERYTHING! He loves to go in the kitchen and bang on the kitchen floor and has discovered Mommy's Isabel Bloom's on the book shelf and loves knocking those over. Mommy baby-proofed the house several months ago but Brody can pretty much find his way into any area he wants to get to. He really is all over the house! Brody continues to love all his new toys and Mommy and Daddy are working still working on plans for where we are going to put everything. We bought a new drawer unit over the weekend to help with storage. Daddy is in New York this week beginning a new project with the New York Mets Hall of Fame. Unfortunately Daddy will miss watching the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Orange Bowl from home but he is hoping to catch some of the game on his trip. Once again, Happy New Year, we hope everyone had a safe one and Go Hawks!!
